1 Corinthians 15:21-24 “For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. But each in turn: Christ, the firstfruits; then, when he comes, those who belong to him.”
Jesus’ incarnation and ministry not only saves us from sin and death, he also reminds us what it meant and will mean to be truly human. Since the first Adam sinned we have forgotten the beauty and joy of being truly human as God designed us. Jesus reminds us of our humanity and design by how he loves us and dwells with us. We too remind the world of their humanity by how we love and dwell within the world. We are like the woman in the song who keeps the embers of humanity alive in the world when everything threatens to put them out.
